Anonymous for the Voiceless, Beirut chapter

You have probably heard of these people wearing the Guy Fawkes (Anonymous) mask and standing on the streets across Lebanon. These are Anonymous for the Voiceless (AV) volunteers. Anonymous for the Voiceless is an international not-for-profit animal rights organization that specializes in street activism. Originally founded in Melbourne, Australia, we are now a global community of like-minded people using our voices for justice for our fellow earthlings.
We are independent of any political affiliation or religion and wish no promotion of either at our events.
The Cube of Truth
Around the world, we host demonstrations in a format called the Cube of Truth, which is a peaceful, static installation akin to an art performance. Through the use of local standard-practice footage, we expose to the public what is intentionally hidden from them when it comes to animal exploitation. Combining this with a value-based sales approach and resource literature, we fully equip the public with everything they need to become vegan. We hold an abolitionist stance on animal exploitation.
On the 3rd of November 2018, the first Cube of Truth in the Middle East took place in Hamra, Beirut. Since then, AV: Beirut, Lebanon chapter has held over 25 Cubes, in Hamra, Mar Mikhael, Sassine, Sin el Fil, Verdun, Jounieh and Jbeil.
Why street activism ?
Speaking to people in real life is one of the most powerful ways to bring about behavioral change. Through conversation, people can learn there is no humane way to exploit and enslave an animal. Bystanders have all their questions and objections handled then and there on the spot. This allows activists to give a clear representation of veganism without the listener resorting to their own conclusions.
Billions of animals are commodified, exploited and murdered at the hands of humans every single day. It is imperative that we take to the streets in the face of such injustice. Our in-person conversations, along with the resources we provide each bystander, arm those responsible for this injustice with the tools needed to change.
